Working within the heart of the West Houston Energy Corridor, our team managed the complex City of Katy Permit and Building Services requirements, ensuring every phase met the 2021 International Building Codes and the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC).
The build-out began with a total interior demolition, stripping the previous legacy unit down to its structural shell. This allowed us to install heavy-gauge metal studs specifically reinforced to support oversized television displays, massive projection screens, and multi-layered security camera arrays. The framing phase utilized heavy-gauge metal studs, specifically reinforced in the "TV Wall" area. These walls were engineered to hold multiple 85-inch plus displays and heavy-duty projector mounts. Our team integrated hidden conduit paths within the framing to allow for a "cable-free" look, essential for a business that sells high-end aesthetics. This attention to detail extends to the technical service bay, where we installed commercial-grade plumbing and a stainless steel sink area to support the maintenance of technical gear.
A standout feature of this build-out is the 16x11 foot technical utility room. This zone was designed as the "nerve center" for Murf Electronics’ installation team. It features organized storage for high-end speakers, security cameras, and AV components, along with a dedicated workspace for technical prep.
